About a month ago, I was trying to find something for Ashton to watch on TV. I saw “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and excited that it was the new Johnny Depp movie, I turned it there. UNFORTUNATELY, it was the old one. Usually Ashton wouldn’t be interested in whatever it was anyway, but it happened to be the part where Charlie and his grandpa are floating and burping after drinking the fizzy soda. Ashton LOVED it. During the next commercial, I distracted him with something else and he forgot all about it.
We were at Wal-mart the other day looking for a new movie for him and he just happened to see the “Willy Wonka” DVD and knew IMMEDIATELY what it was! I could NOT believe his little brain. He chose that movie, to my utter disgust. Oh well, he’s pretty cute about the Golden Ticket thing so it helps me not hate that movie so much. AND he has been really good all through Sacrament Meeting for the last three Sundays so he could get a Wonka Bar.

Jenn, I love all your posts. I am so glad that you had your blog at the bottom of your email to us. Dad must have clicked on it while I was in the office kitchen. I thought I heard Emmy in the office. I came in and asked Dad if I heard Emmy and sure enough there she was, very unhappy at the fireplace. So cute!:) I just never think to look at blogs, so thanks for the addition of your blog at the end of your email. Also, Ashton is darling, his eyes all wide watching Willie open his candy bar:) I loved that. Thanks again Jenn. You are a great Mom. I knew that anyway, but I can hear it in your voice and how you talk to the children. I think you need a candy bar too

Dude I couldn’t wait for ashton to open his candy bar. So suspenseful. I thought you guys were going to plant a fake ticket in there!
