TODAY WAS THE DAY!!!!! Oh my goodness! I have been excited for this day for about a month and a half now! Cari, Lindsey, Jess and I spent the morning at the church, setting up and decorating. Jess was in and out, taking care of house business (from the laptop explosion, poor girl!) Our kids were soooo good, having free reign of the entire church all morning and then all night, while their parents did everything BUT give them any kind of attention.
Our only setback was our helium balloon decoration. I saw these beautiful balloons on Pinterest that were covered with tulle. Well, those particular balloons must have been HUGE. Our standard balloons immediately sunk to the ground with the tulle covering! I was soooo sad buuut Lindsey saved the day. It still looks like they are floating. 🙂
Kris was an integral part of the plan. She took Mom out for lunch and a little shopping so she wouldn’t think we had all forgotten her birthday. Then Dad told Mom that they had to take some choir music to Jess at her church. He had Mom take the music into the church and to get Mom to stay, Jess asked Mom to help her pass out the music. HAHAHAHA! Mom thought that was strange, but being THE SWEETEST, she walked right into our surprise. And surprised, she was!!!!!
It was SUCH a great night! Soooo fun to see old friends and be together to honor my incredible mom.
