I know, April Fools was yesterday, this is not a joke. We woke up to THIS!!! Yesterday afternoon I was laying out (while the kids took naps) and now THIS!?!?!?! Springtime in Utah.
So this is what Ethan and Annie wanted for breakfast. This morning, Ethan filled Easter eggs with candy and wanted to have Easter Egg hunts. He’s gotta get his training in before Easter morning, I guess. 🙂 We took turns hiding and finding. He is an absolute doll!!!!After I cleaned the house, started laundry and gave these guys baths, I put them to work making sugar cookies. Then, while I rolled, cut out and baked, Ethan worked on homework and Annie played with Play-Doh. None of the older kids have loved Play-Doh as much as Annie. Emmy used to always just LOSE IT if she couldn’t do something exactly the way she wanted to. I’m sure we didn’t respond well or know how to deal with it effectively. I don’t know if we have changed or if Annie is just a different person, but today when she was playing with the Play-Doh, she was getting mad and she put down what it was and said, “Mom, I need help. This is so. hard. for. me. and I’m getting. so. frustrated.” (Word for word, periods to try to duplicate her emphasis)Cookies for Josh’s work party tomorrow and some neighbors. And this is how the day ended. 🙂 I also got to go visit Kyra and her sweet, perfectly beautiful baby, Reese. (I put Annie in bed and Ashton babysat. I didn’t know Josh had a huge Stake meeting tonight)
