This morning at 3 AM, Emmy came into my room with a fever of 104 and a terrible headache. I, of course, panicked. I gave her medicine and made her take a bath. A bath ALWAYS brings fevers down a couple degrees but this didn’t do anything. She was even a little worse! I put her back in bed and said a prayer as I held her hand. I took her temperature maybe two minutes after the prayer and she was 100.5! I took it again and again, maybe 5 more times and she was 100.5 and falling asleep. It was miraculous. PERIOD.
I am probably weird, but I am not a fan of breakfast in bed. To let the kids off the hook, I had breakfast ready for them.
Emmy was still very sick and threw up at about 10 AM. It was a crazy Mother’s Day morning. I didn’t have/make time to prepare my lesson until AFTER Sacrament Mtg when I came home to check on Emmy. Luckily, I had a video that went along with the topic! LIFESAVER!!!
After church, Emmy was still pretty sick. Josh gave her a blessing and soon she felt good enough to climb into the car for our Mother’s Day visits. We went over to Mom’s. We gave her hugs and a little gift. It was a pathetically short visit. I found this picture today which I LOVE! I seriously don’t know why I was so blessed to be sent to my mom! She really is amazing and I am so grateful that I learned how to be a mom from her! Seriously, she is THE MOST influential person in my life and I am so blessed! I miss Grandma Harris so much. I still cannot believe that she is gone. I have to take slow, deep breaths when pictures of her pop up that I haven’t seen for a while. It makes my heart hurt.
I cannot believe how lucky I am that Leslie is my Mother-in-Law! Of course, she is the reason I stuck around with Josh all those years before deciding to marry him. 🙂AAAAND Josh. It is our official 12 year anniversary, even though we already celebrated last week. But man! I love that guy! He treats me like a queen EVERY SINGLE DAY. He spoils me every chance he gets. He is such a cute dad and a righteous priesthood holder. He never tires of helping and serving others. I LOVE YOU, JOSH!!!
