We made chocolate chip cookies this morning, per Ethan’s request. Then took them to some new neighbors. This watermelon was too mushy for me to handle but the kids wanted to eat it still. Dig in, babies!
It was the last day of school and the night of the Father’s and Sons Campout. So Josh took the boys and Emmy, Annie and I had a GNO. We told Ash and Emmy that we would take them there before Ethan was born….almost five years ago. Ashton is over it but Emmy still asks to go. So we went to the mall, bought some summer clothes for Emmy and then to Build a Bear.
Let me just say that we are never going to BAB again until these kids graduate from college or win the Nobel Prize or something. I kept looking at parents leaving with three or four kids with new (ehem..crappy) bears and I thought,”WHY would you spend ALL the money on this?! Why would you come here?! There are so many BETTER things to spend money on!” I expressed my feelings to Josh and he said,”They were probably wondering why YOU were there. They were thinking “We HAVE to be here. We are telling the kids we are getting a divorce after this.” Oh man, he kills me. Sooooo funny. But not, but soooo funny!
We put Annie to bed then M and I partied all night. We did our nails while watching “The Sound of Music”. Emmy is hilarious! She was cracking me up the whole time. She asked me why the nuns had to stand there practicing the song “How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria”. She was extremely concerned that Maria would be late and get fired as she danced and sang “I Have Confidence”. Then she was soooo amazed that the whole crowd sang “Goooood Byyyyyye” to the kids after the “So Long, Farewell” song. I’m thinking this girl needs to see more musicals. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Then at the boring part, Emmy decided to learn how to do the worm. She was pretty good at it!
