Ashton and Druw had to wake up so early for basketball practice. The rest of the day was pretty lame. These guys played outside for a while but it was really cold so they came in and played video games most of the afternoon. Josh and I took lunch to Amber Smithson and visited her for a little while (she is recovering from having a tumor removed from her brain).
Emmy was having a hard day. She must have been tired from her sleepover, but she didn’t feel like playing with anybody. I already invited Tenley over to play to help Amber out. But when she got here, Emmy refused to be happy. Tenley went home sad SOOOOO I forced Emmy to go to Wildflower Studio to paint ceramics with me and we brought Tenley with us. It was so much fun and these girls painted such cute things.
Emmy took about 45 minutes to decide what to paint. Tenley and I finally just started painting and let Emmy have time to herself to decide if she was going to be happy and paint or not. She finally decided on this goose which she liked the first time through the store. When she brought it to the table, I was so excited and said “Emmy! Do you remember that Great Grandma Harris had a goose just like that in her rose garden?!” She was thrilled and said “OH YEAH!!!” I said,”You must have remembered deep down, there was a reason you kept going back to this goose!” And we talked about Great-Grandma “Haircut”. It was sweet and she LOVES her goose.
