Oh my goodness, I woke up feeling soooo sick this morning. I got up to get Annie and Ethan some warm chocolate milk (our brand new microwave is broken, as of the day Josh left, so it is quite an ordeal to warm up the milk….first world probs). Then I went back to bed. My sweet babies were so good and let me stay in bed (mostly awake) until 9. Then we went to Lowe’s.
We normally would have brought a couple cousins but I wasn’t feeling well so they just got to play together and I LOVED it.
After lunch, I put Annie down for a nap. Then I cleaned out the dead flowers in the front yard since the snow had all melted and we never got around to it in the fall. Ah, I feel much better with that done. Ethan tried riding his BIG bike that he got for Christmas a year ago. He has finally grown enough to be able to ride it!!!! YEAH HOOOOO!
Ashton and Ethan went to the park to play basketball but there were too many kids riding bikes on the concrete, so they came back and played soccer. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
At 4, I dropped Emmy off at Tenley’s for her birthday party. Then the rest of us went to the Stake Center to set up for the Blue & Gold banquet. I just don’t know how these events turn into JENN’S. Like Steph’s party, baby showers and this. Everyone just kept asking, “What do you want to do, Jenn? Where do you want this, Jenn? What do you want me to do, Jenn?” WHAT!?!?! Why and how did I become the boss of this GROUP project? And I’m not even bossy, nor do I have any ability to make decisions! Am I a controlling jerk and I don’t even realize it? I don’t know. All I DO KNOW is that I HATE being in charge and making decisions. BUT with everyone working together, it turned out alright!
It was a carnival theme and we had a nacho bar for dinner. Ethan found his cute friends, that are GIRLS. He wanted to sit with them and eat his dinner, too. Pretty cute.
After awards and the year-in-review video, each den had their own carnival game for everyone to play.
Ashton was the sweetest brother, of course. Annie got 20 points, ran and gave Ash a hug and he gave her a candy prize. Too cute!
For Tenley’s birthday party, Emmy got to go to Build -A-Bear! Wooo hooo! I’m so happy for her because I vowed never to return to that place! 😉
The kids had showers and fell asleep downstairs watching a movie together. I did my nails and went to sleep, still feeling soooo sick. Thank goodness for DayQuil. I wouldn’t have made it through this day without it! Josh comes home tomorrow!!!!
