We missed Ashton’s birthday lunch at school (he forgot to tell us about it). He was pretty heartbroken about the whole thing. So before Josh left for Tahoe, he took Ash out of school for lunch at Malawi’s.
I had been running errands all morning with Ethan and bought some travel treats for Josh. So after Eth got on the bus, Annie and I crashed Josh and A’s lunch party. I just LOVE all of these pictures of Annie LOVING Josh….
Anne was so happy to be eating lunch with these guys. She was telling all kinds of stories…
After lunch, Josh went back to work for a few more hours before heading to Lake Tahoe with his pals. Annie was so sad to have to say good-bye again. She cried all the way to Ash’s school, all the way home, and was still crying when I put her down for a nap. She is Daddy’s girl for sure.
Ashton had his last basketball game tonight. He was so awesome. He is incredible at defense (I know I say that every time, but he really is.)
I could tell he was getting more and more frustrated as the game wore on and his team was losing. Not by a lot, but it’s crappy to lose your last game. When it was time to shake hands and get trophies, Ashton was in tears and soooo upset. I thought he was sad about losing but he just couldn’t hold in the frustration anymore about the lack of passing from his teammates. It’s true, nobody ever passed the ball. I made Ashton promise to be happy after games, no matter what, at the beginning of the season. This last game was all he could take.
Trevan came to this game and was a great support. Ashton was fine again by the time we were driving home. Trevan is such a good friend.
