We had a normal, great day at church. These sweet cousins all walked home together. The cuteness in this picture is unbelievable!
So, after church, I told the kids about the movie “The Last Descent”. (I had nightmares and cannot stop thinking about it). Ashton asked if he could see the trailer. So he, Ethan and I went into my room and watched it on my bed with the laptop. When it ended, Ashton slowly fell, face down onto my bed and was sobbing quietly. Ethan flopped right down next to him, crying also! I was teary during the trailer and when my sweet little boys broke down, I followed. The three of us were laying there crying and crying. Oh, it was bad. The rest of the day, Ashton was TRAUMATIZED. We had lots of talks about prayer, faith, rescuing, and all the WHY’s. He said he needed to get his mind off of it and so he read to Ethan while E colored. He was still super sad after finishing that book. So Ash found some sheet music for “The Hobbit” online, printed it and started learning how to play it on the piano. That is my sweet, sweet boy.
And just for fun, here are a few more pictures, taken within the last week or two, of Ashton being SO PERFECTLY sweet to his brother.
We went to Grammy and Paw’s for dinner. I ate way too much, as usual.
