Since my run yesterday was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, I woke up again this morning. THE BEST!!!!! I LOVE THIS CITY!!!!
These monuments and memorials mean so much to me. I have decided I only want to see them early in the morning or late at night when the crowds are gone. I just love being there in the stillness, without all the hustle and bustle.
The guys had meetings all day so Tonya, Linz and I went to Arlington Cemetery. I definitely would have rather been here alone, in the early morning. I was just so filled with honor and reverence to even be setting my feet in this place. Nobody else seemed to be having this experience, though, and I was a little bit disappointed. We took a tour shuttle around and that really ruined it for me. The man on the mic made it feel like we were touring Disneyland or something. It was still amazing, though, despite the distractions.
And, of course, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. No words.
We went back to meet the guys for dinner. Then we went to see a movie over in Georgetown.
