If you can believe it, there was ANOTHER snow storm today!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Well, the craziest storm in the world didn’t get in the way of my lunch date with Shelly! This was the first time I had seen her in 10/11 years!!!! Now THAT is UNBELIEVABLE!!!! We met at The Trolley and had a great lunch!!!! Then I took her over to the new house. She got stuck in the snow for a little bit but we got her out.
Ethan helped me shovel the driveway (for the second time today!)
Ash’s pals came over to play Madden.
This little doll made a snow cone just for me!
I put the kiddies to bed and then Josh and I worked all night to finish our cedar project. WE ARE FINISHED!!!!!!! HALLELUIAH!!!!! There is hardly anything in this world I love more than working with Josh.
Josh, Bishop Buckley and Dale Larsson were all released today in Sacrament Meeting. It was a really great meeting, lots of tears. I was warned that I might be asked to bear my testimony and I sure was sweating bullets. It turned out to be true and I seriously almost lost all control as I walked up, saw Josh’s face and realized this was like my ‘goodbye’ to the ward. I never say anything the way I want to, but I’m sure glad that it is over. SOOOO Josh got to come home right after church!!!! It was AMAZING!!!!! He asked the kids what the rules are and they said: Put on pajamas, have lunch, turn on a church movie, go to Grammy’s. Bam. That’s it.
Paw had quite the audience as Grammy administered his new shot.
We had a busy morning! I left at 9:00 to go to a Stake Women’s Conference. It was so good. Hank Smith was the speaker and he talked about Social Media. Very funny and inspiring.
Ethan went to Westin’s birthday party at 9:30 and Annie had swimming lessons at 9:50.
Josh went to work at the house on our white-washing project. I was driving back and forth all day, helping whenever I could. For Westin’s party, Ethan got to go to Hang Time and then the Bean Museum. He got home at about 2:30 and crashed. What a great day!
Ashton and Emmy got to play at the Brimhall’s for most of the afternoon. I went home from our new house, took a shower and quickly got ready to go to dinner with the bishopric. Then I took Emmy and Avery to Maiah’s birthday party.
Sweet E woke up and was super cute and cuddly, as usual. What a doll he is!
So Ashton babysat while Josh and I went to dinner with the Beck’s (everyone else bailed) at the Trolley. HOWEVER, as we were getting ready to leave, Annie was super sad and wanted us to stay home. I said “Annie, do you want to watch a movie on my bed and have gummy bears in a bowl?” As I continued to think of ways to make her happy, Ethan was climbing around on the kitchen counter. I thought he was just getting himself a drink or something. But he came up to Annie with a bowl of gummy bears, so sweetly presented them to her and asked if she wanted him to turn on a movie for her. He is absolutely the most tender-hearted boy in the world.
It was STILL snowing this morning! I had a bunch of errands I needed to run but I decided to just chill at home with my baby. We made some chocolate chip cookies.
Then Tosha came to save the day and took Annie for some snow fun.
Jocelyn and Carson came and played for a little while the Annie had lunch and a nap. I had a few minutes before I had to pick up the big kids so I carefully picked Annie up and cuddled with my sleeping doll for a while.
I checked on the new mud room paint. It NEVER looks the way I expect from paint samples!!!! It is now the exact same color as the gray floor tiles we chose and barely darker than the rest of the house. UUUUGH. Oh well. I like it better than the green gray it used to be.
Josh drove all day and missed all the snow storms and made it home safely!!!! PHEW!!!!
