Angie’s family stayed with us for the weekend for Dad’s Tabernacle Choir Retirement Ceremony.
Josh and I made breakfast and babysat the kids while Ang and Shawn went to the temple.
Then Josh put all the boys to work. Here is our military line-up. They worked hard and got to go to the gas station for treats, of course.
Later, Annie and Emmy came with me to the mall and we ran other errands. (Yes, Annie wore her PJ’s)
Annie wanted to go to the dollar store on the way home. She knew exactly what she wanted so I had Emmy go in with her while I waited in the car….SO THEY THOUGHT. What kind of mom do you think I am?!?!? I was super sneaky and spied on them the whole time. It was TOO ADORABLE!!! Emmy was such a sweet sister, helping Annie see all the choices. Then they bought their treasures and I still made it back to the car before they noticed!
The next day was the retirement, but first we went to Music and The Spoken Word. It was a beautiful morning! We had lunch at Mom and Dad’s with Rob’s fam and Kris’ fam.
We came home and hung out on the deck. It was heavenly.
Though I dreaded moving for months and months, it has been such an easy transition for everyone! The first weekend, we had the Greathead’s and the Brimhall’s here playing, keeping the kids company and making life just THE BEST! I will be forever grateful for these sweet neighbors who made this huge life event smooth, painless and a positive experience.
Ashton was on stage crew for the school play “Treasure Island”. We finally got to go to the play and see all the props and sets that Ash has been working on for the past few months. We spotted Ash for a while, holding up this tree.
Druw was one of the pirates.
The bus stop is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET!!!! What? What?!?!?! So awesome!
And I’m guessing this is what our entry ways will look like most of the time.
Annie has been NEEDING some kind of birthday party for weeks. She makes invitations and hands them out to her friends all the time. She is just a party animal. Anyway, she and I decided we should have a birthday party for our house for FHE.
