Shelly had to go back home this morning. Josh made pancakes for everyone. Despite all my calm, fun posts this weekend, I was STRESSING OUT!!! Josh, Ashton and I had to give talks in Sacrament Meeting this afternoon. So Ashton and Josh went to the Abbington Care Center to give short versions of their talks to the seniors. I had a Mia Maid Presidency Meeting, then we had to go to church!
We were asked to speak on Service, specifically Temple Service and Family History. I am pretty much the worst at that so when the bishop said the topic, I was not excited. With Josh’s help, I finally focused on keeping journals and family histories, keeping those who have passed on close. I started by telling about Grandma Harris. It was super difficult and I cried a lot and didn’t say all the things I wanted to say, nor the way I wanted to say things, but it was okay. Ashton and Josh gave INCREDIBLE talks. After Sacrament Meeting, the bishop came and shook our hands and he was full on crying! She just kept saying he missed his grandparents. It was pretty touching. Then Josh had to teach his class and I taught the Mia Maids. What a Sunday!!! We were able to relax at Carr dinner. We brought the tandem bike to share with everyone and they ALL LOVED IT! What a great night!!!
